A new beginning...

Hi there!
This is the first post of the newly created Cosy Creatures Blog!
This is a place created to share ideas and wisdom on what makes a perfect afternoon tea!
It is also a place to share your crafty creations and tips on how to de-stress.
Personally I can't think of any better way to unwind than putting the kettle on, filling a tea pot with my favourite tea and keeping it warm for ages with my super cute and super friendly Cosy, Bunny!
(Cosy Bunny was made from an ugly old jumper and some scraps of felt by the super talented Cassie)

We'd love to see what you make from the Cosy Creatures kits which will be available through the Lifeline Gippsland soon (we'll keep you updated on that one!).
If you feel like sharing just drop us an email!

To kick things off, I thought I'd share my fool proof Florentine recipe. They are sweet and delicious and they impress everytime! And the best bit is they are sooo easy to make!
Just look:
3/4 cup sultanas
2 cups corn flakes
3/4 cup roasted flaked almonds
1/2 cup red glace cherries
2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
120gm dark chocolate, melted

1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees/160 degrees fan forced. Grease oven trays; line with baking paper.
2. Combine all ingredients (except for the chocolate) in a bowl and mix.
3. Spoon the mixture onto the tray, make them what ever size you like but be sure to leave about 5cm around them as they spread in the oven. Bake them for about 5 mins or until a bit golden looking. Allow to cool on the trays.
4. Spread the Florentine bases with the melted chocolate. Run the fork through the chocolate to get the wavey lines. Allow to set.
5. EAT!

(Oops! I ate them all before I could take a picture - here are some that look pretty good too from http://www.freerecipes.org/orange-and-almond-florentines)
